12th journey - Sweet plays (Giochi innocenti)

Once upon the time there was a little girl . . .
(C'era una volta una bambina . . . )

She didn't have brand toys to play with, a simple stuffed animal and a bridal veil were good enough to make her dream.
(Non aveva giocattoli firmati con cui giocare, le bastava un semplice pupazzo di peluche e un velo a farla sognare)

The veil hastily stitched by the skilled hands of her mother . . .
(il velo cucito frettolosamente dalle abili mani della madre)

a so important veil . . .
(un velo così importante)

The veil with which the little girl dreamed of being a beautiful bride.
(il velo con cui quella bambina sognava di essere una bellissima sposa)

It was not so difficult, wearing it was enough to make her eyes glittering while on her little face appeared a magnificent smile. Yes, it's true, it was so easy for a child enjoying himself. . . .
(Non era poi tanto difficile, bastava indossarlo per farle luccicare gli occhi mentre sul suo viso spuntava un magnifico sorriso, perchè è proprio vero, un tempo ai bambini bastava così poco)

And with the mind the little girl run to that magical day, all white and full of the scent of pure flowers, to the tolls of the bells, to the doves in the sky, and to come with her couldn't fail her best friend: a fragile creature that wags, with long ears and big eyes saying: "take me with you in your dreams, I'll never betray you"
(e con la mente la piccola correva a quel magico giorno tutto bianco e pieno del profumo di candidi fiori, ai rintocchi delle campane, alle colombe nel cielo, e ad accompagnarla non poteva mancare il suo migliore amico: un fragile esserino che scodinzola, dalle orecchie lunghe e con gli occhi che sembrano volerti dire continuamente :"portami con te nei tuoi sogni, non ti tradirò mai")

Now that girl is a mother too, and to make appear the same radiant smile on the face of her child, in the quietness of a room,  infantile pink colored, she lovingly sews a veil for her daughter to make that nostalgic moments come again and to make the magic of a so long awaited day warm up the tiny heart of her little girl too.
(Ora quella bambina è una madre anch'ella, e per far spuntare lo stesso raggiante sorriso sul volto della figlia, nella tranquillità di una camera colorata di un rosa infantile, cuce amorevolmente un velo per la sua piccola, affinchè quei nostalgici momenti ritornino e la magia di un giorno così tanto atteso possa scaldare anche il suo piccolo cuore.)

(è intento a capire cos'è quella piccola cosa profumata davanti al suo naso)

from his reaction I understood there are no croissants in Neverland
(dalla sua reazione ho capito che non devono esserci cornetti a Neverland)

I'll let him try some :) I'm sure he couldn't do without them
(gliene lascierò provare qualcuno, sono sicura che poi non ne potrà fare a meno)

Remember my bunny are faery ones and that is strictly forbidden to give these kind of food to real bunnies!
(ricordate che i miei sono coniglietti fatati e che è severamente proibito dar da mangiare cibi come questi ai conigli veri)

Here I am, again with a newborn fairy bunny :)
(eccomi di nuovo con un nuovo coniglietto fatato appena nato)

 

He is the fairy bunny that wish you a good breakfast!
(lui è il coniglietto fatato che ti augura una buona colazione)

He says "breakfast is very important", so it's good to eat very well
(lui dice che "la colazione è molto importante", perciò è buono mangiare bene)

What would you choose? Tartine or doughnut?
(cosa ti andrebbe? una tartina o una ciambella?)

With a fairy bunny that wish you a breakfast like this the day will surely be good!!
(con un coniglietto fatato che ti augura una colazione simile la giornata andrà sicuramente bene!!)

A special Dessert for you (un dessert speciale per te)

Here I am!! :) I'm so sorry for the late, I hope all of you had a good Easter!! and no one ate the lamb . . .
(Eccomi, scusate il ritardo, spero che ognuno di voi abbia passato una buona Pasqua!! e che nessuno abbia mangiato agnello . . .)

He told me in a ear he was very hungry, so I decided to make a good dessert for him!!
(mi ha detto in un orecchio che era molto affamato e così ho deciso di creare per lui un buon dessert)

Of course he gave me a hand!
(ovviamente mi ha dato una mano)

in the end he was so happy! he ate all the dessert immediately!! and I was so happy too :)
(alla fine era così felice! ha mangiato tutto il dessert in un attimo!! ad io ero contenta con lui)

14th journey: The song of the Forget-me-not fairy (!4esimo viaggio- La canzone della fata del non ti scordar di me)

So small, so blue, in grassy places
 (così piccoli, così blu, in erbosi luoghi)

My flowers raise
their tiny faces
 (i miei fiori innalzano i loro esili volti)

By streams my bigger sisters grow,
 (le mie sorelle maggiori crescono da corsi d'acqua)

And smile in gardens, in a row.
 (e sorridono in giardini, l'una dietro all'altra)

I've never seen a garden plot;
 (io invece non ho mai visto l'aiuola di un giardino)

But though I'm small
Forget me not!
 (ma non scordarti di me! nonostante sia piccino)

 inspired by the wonderful drawing of Cicely Mary Barker, Myosotis (the name of the little fairy of the Forget me not flowers)was born from a collaboration with a great artist Graziella Bottero (she made for me this wonderful Forget me not flowers' stalk).

Myosotis  (il nome della fatina dei "non ti scordar di me" nasce da un'ispirazione ricevuta guardando il meraviglioso disegno di Cicely Mary Barker, e in collaborazione con l'artista Graziella Bottero che ha creato per me questo meraviglioso stelo di "non ti scordar di me"
